Elizabeth Bell

After raising two children while working full time as a marketing professional, I was looking for my next adventure. So I began taking continuing education classes in various fields. In 2012 an amazing creative world opened up to me in my Introduction to Watercolor class at the Center for the Arts in Westchester.

Over the last twelve years I have developed my skills in drawing, painting and printmaking. Watercolor continues to be my passion. I have studied with dozens of master watercolor artists as well as at a variety of art schools including the Center for the Arts (White Plains, NY), Silvermine Art School (New Canaan, CT), Hudson River Community Education (Dobbs Ferry, NY), the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop (New York, NY), the New York Academy of Art (New York, NY), Katonah Art Center (Mount Kisco, NY) and the Art Students League (New York, NY). I am currently studying with the watercolor artist Lori McQueeney. Lori and my classmates have been, and continue to be, an inspiration to me.

Watercolor has changed the way I see the world around me. I love to paint beautiful subjects that inspire me. I find beauty in my daily walks around Westchester, in trips to the beach with family, and in my travels to Europe. One of my favorite places to visit to spark creativity is the New York Botanical Garden.

My adventure continues to unfold. I hope you enjoy my work.
